CORE was a civil rights movemen tin the 1940'2 created by James Farmer and George Houser in 1942. The whole thing started with sit-ins in reastraunts that denied service to black Americans in Chicago. If they denied them they would just sit there and not leave. They carried this on into theaters and other public places in Chicago, Detroit, Denver, and Syracuse. They did this to desegregate public places.
